Lewis R Wood

Lewis Wood, AIA brings 30 years of experience to Aguilar Architects, Inc., with expertise in institutional projects including K-14, university, laboratory, and healthcare facilities. His portfolio spans a range of medium-to-large sized public and private projects, from the design phase to the completion of construction. As a senior project architect and a senior technical coordinator on numerous projects, Lewis has advised on and coordinated projects with multiple consultants and subconsultants, with direct experience with complex systems and installations. Lewis is well known in the industry and with the trades and vendors that offer allied professional services. He has hands-on experience with education-related technologies as well as instructional facilities.

Lewis’ projects have all included programming, planning/site planning, full A/E services, and ADA improvements. Relevant project experience includes:

  • College of the Desert Laboratory Building - This addition is a 65,000 SF replacement facility that includes 41,000-GSF, four story building, and ADA parking in downtown Indio, California.

  • Foothill Community College - Upper and Lower Campus Classroom and Student Center Buildings.

  • VA San Diego Hospital Addition - This is a 159,000 SF replacement hospital addition to the existing VA facility in San Diego. It includes a new Spinal Cord Injuries and Disorders Center.

  • Arizona State University - Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building including 175,000 SF of interdisciplinary Science and Technology laboratories.

  • Santa Ana Unified School District - Four Critically Overcrowded Schools Projects, Measure G new classroom.
